Opportunities
Career Scope of Agricultural Engineering
There’s no denying the fact that agriculture is the backbone of the Indian economy. The country is a farmer’s land with ample opportunities for Agriculture farming due to its fertile terrain and soils. Many Agriculture institutions in India serve quality education to students interested in agriculture and its applied technology.
Agriculture Engineering revolves around the study of real-life engineering principles that can be used to improve Agriculture practices like crop production, cultivation, and processing of Agriculture products and by-products.
The Agriculture Engineering programme involves a blend of plant and animal biology, civil, chemical, mechanical, and electrical engineering principles. This makes the programme a true all-rounder.
The course is new on the horizon but offers career opportunities that are on par with other mainstream courses.
Job Prospects
Students can take career paths such as a job as an Agriculture engineer at agro-based industries, Agriculture crop engineers, Agriculture specialists, Agriculture inspectors, farm shop managers, Agriculture researchers, environmental controls engineers, agronomists, food supervisors, microbiologist or plant physiologist, etc. These are just the tip of the iceberg.
Agriculture Engineering is an up-and-coming profession that is expected to achieve new heights in the coming years. The course also provides a variety of employment opportunities to the students and a unique perspective to improve the country’s Agriculture production.
