Civil Engineering was started during 2009-2010 and functioning since then for the enrichment of the Civil Engineering students in various ways.Disseminating knowledge through workshops, conferences and continuing education programs is one of our departments mission. In this direction, considerable efforts have been made to organize such programmes

SURVEYING LAB
Surveying, exposes students to the fundamental land surveying measurement methods. Students gain familiarity with Precision Steel Taping methods to perform horizontal measurements, traditional transits and digital theodolite to perform angular measurements and traditional and automatic levels for elevation measurements.

The survey lab is equipped with all the latest survey equipments such as total station, auto level etc, To Conduct survey practical, we have enough area inside our college campus.
SOIL LAB
This lab is to have a thorough knowledge of testing the shear parameters of the soil, and characteristics of cohesion soil and, cohesionless soil and field test on soil.

Soil mechanics laboratory is well equipped with all equipments required for identification and classification of soils. The lab instruments are well seated over concrete beds for better observations of readings.
STRENGTH OF MATERIALS
The students are enriched with the knowledge of hardness of steel, the impact strength of square rod, double shear test and tensile strength of rods used in construction.

OTHER ACTIVITIES – ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS PROGRAMME(RTO)
- Road safety Awareness Programme has been conducted at 23/01/2024 and in this program 220 students and 15 staffs were participated.
- Our Chief Guests Mr.R. Sakthivel RTO, Mr.R.Kathirvelu MVI(GR-I)has initially started this program. He gave a speech about the road safety and safe driving to the students and public. He also intimated the effects of drink and drive, violating the traffic rules. He gave the important of wearing helmet.

INDUSTRIAL- INPLANT TRAINING:
- Industrial and In-Plant training is being made compulsory for second and third year students during summer vacations. This not only helps the students in acquiring knowledge about new technologies but also acts as an insight into management aspects. Students are expected to undergo training for a period ranging from 15 days in an industry and submit a detailed report for evaluation after completion of their training.

Our Autodepartment has conducted Parents meeting for I& II & III Year AutomobileStudents on 23/02/2024. Totally 124 parents have visited in that parents meeting.
INDUSTRIAL VISIT:
- Our students were encouraged with industrial knowledge by visiting the company NEXA service center Erode. Totally 82 students and 5faculty members visited the company on 13/10/2023.
TOUR
Our department has organized one-day tour for kerala. They have visited ChottaniKaraiBagavathiAmman Temple, Hill palace museum, DJ boating Beach, LuLu mall on 24/03/2023.
