ACTIVITIES 15-16

ASSOCIATION

As the tradition goes up we have started our function on 29.07.16 at 11.00 am involving the blessing of god by prayer. Our Dr.S.Arumugam (CEO, Nandha Educational Institutions)  would  preside  over  the  function  and  lightened  the  lamp.  The Head of the of Mechanical Department Mr.  R. Palanisamy has addressed his welcome speech.

The motivational address has delivered by Dr.S.Arumugam (CEO, Nandha Educational Institutions).  The Lecturer  of Automobile  Department  Mr. Loganathan  has  introduced  our  Chief  Guest  Thiru.  B.PANDIYAN(Assistant manager),He has encouraged our students by his industrial exposure and presentation. Finally he has distributed prizes to the students. And our function has winded up with cheerful moments.

INDUSTRIAL SEMINAR-I

Our department conducted industrial seminar, in the title of “ROLL OF CNC MACHINES IN PUMP INDUSTRY” on 4/07/2016. This function was inaugurated by Thiru. Mr.P.VIGNESHWARAN (Senior Design Engineer), He has encouraged our students by his industrial exposure and presentation. 400 students were benefited by this seminar.

 

ACADEMIC SEMINAR-I

Our department conducted academic seminar, in the title of “NEW TECHNOLOGIES IN ENGINES” on 03/12/2016. This function was inaugurated by Thiru. B.SAKTHIVEL.,M.E (Assistant professor ), He has encouraged our students by his industrial exposure and presentation. 400 students were benefited by this seminar.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT

In related to the academic every semester the students are visiting to various industries to develop their knowledge and to learn about the Industrial process what they are doing in their Industries. This will help them in getting job opportunities at industries. Our Students are visited to the following Companies.

ASSOCIATION

                   We have started our function on 14th JULY 2016th . Our  Honorable Dr.S.Arumugam ,CEO (Sri  Nandha Educational  Trust)  would  preside  over  the  function  and  lightened  the  lamp.  The Head of Mechanical Department Mr.M.Palanisamy has addressed his welcome speech.The Student Association of “Majestic Mech’16” is committed to development of student activities. it encourage student  to explore leadership, industrial qualities by  services, campaigns and events by dedicated trained facility.

The Key Note address has delivered by Dr.S.Arumugam  and  the  Felicitation  speech  was  concluded by  Thiru.M.Rabi  Ahamed  (Principal,  Nandha  Polytechnic  College).  The Lecturer  of mechanical Department  Mr.C.Thirungnanasambanthan  has  introduced  our  Chief  Guest  Thiru. K.Suresh Assistant Manager, Sakthi Auto Components Pallagoundampalayam.  He made an remarkable presentation which encouraged the students in all departments. Finally he has distributed prizes to the students. And our function has winded up with Selvan.B.Sadam Hussain, Association Secretary.

IN PLANT TRAINING

                             The industrial visit is considered one of the most tactical methods of teaching. It provides students an opportunity to learn practically through interaction, working methods and employment practices. Moreover, it gives exposure from an academic point of view. In-Plant training is being made compulsory for second year students during summer vacations. This not only helps the students in acquiring knowledge about new technologies but also acts as an insight into management aspects. Students are expected to undergo training for a period ranging from 15 days to 1 month in an industry and submit a detailed report for evaluation after completion of their training.

INDUSTRIAL SEMINAR

                                In this twentieth century when science and technology have gained unquestionable supremacy, the level of the industrial develop­ment of a country has become the yardstick to be applied to judge its actual development. All other progress has become meaningless, if a student is technologically backward, so it is our mechanical department’s duty to bring the students’ to get their attention  towards the industry. So we arranged an industrial seminar at regular intervals which was presented by industrialist with high profile. The following industrial seminars have been conducted successfully

  • Roll of CNC Machines in Pump Industry ” conducted by Mr.P.Vigneshwaran, Aquasub Engineering on 4thtjuly 16.
  • "Hydraulics And Pneumatics" conducted by Mr.B.Pandiyan, Veljan Dension ltd, Hyderabad on 29th august 16.
  • Make the technology- through the technical people ” conducted by Mrs.Tamilselvi(G.M), HITAJE pumps division Coimbatore on 6th January 2016.
  •  "Overview of mechanical fields" conducted by Mrs.E.Keerthika, Cameron, Coimbatore on 20th February 2016

C-VAC

                Training is always like an investment in should be carefully considered. Mechanical department offers training courses for students in their semester holidays that deals with designing to production in all classes. Which means your investment pays off on all levels.

  • “PIPING TECHNOLOGY” coursehave been conducted by HCL Pvt ltd for the period of 10 days in April’15 for 165 students.
  • “AUTOCAD” course have been conducted by Pentacad for period of 16 days in November ’16.

ACADEMIC SEMINAR

                To know the important fields in the mechanical industry for the students, mechanical department has conducting academic seminar which was presented by highly qualified professors and lecturers.

  • “New Technology in Engines” presented by Mr.B.Sakthivel, assistant professor in mechanical department in Nandha engineering college on 3rd December 16 .
  • “Alternative Fuels” presented by Mr.P.Magueshwaran, assistant professor in  mechanical department in Nandha engineering college on 4th December 16 .

INTRA & INTER DEPARTMENT ACTIVITIES

                      Enhances learning in both the affective and cognitive domains, to provide the opportunity for sharing of ideas and concerns. Our Department Association “Majestic Mech’16” conducted Intra and Inter Department Activities

  • Inter department group discussion on 9th July 2016 through 30 students were participated from all department and six Students won prizes.
  • Intra Department group discussion   on 24th August 2016 through 34 students was participated from our department and six Students won prizes.
  • Intra Department quiz Competition   on 21th December 2016 through 30 students was participated from all department and six Students won prizes.
  • Inter Department quiz Competition   on 23rd December 2016 through 32 students was participated from all department and six Students won prizes.

 

NATIONAL LEVEL TECHNICAL SYMPOSIUM

            Together with academic or scientific journals, conferences provide an important channel for exchange of information between researchers. So our college have conducted national level technical symposium  on 29th  July 2016. 25 students have been participated in that symposium.

 

WORK SHOP

In order to become familiar with workshop processes, and the safe use thereof, you are required to undertake workshop training in the use of industries and design parameters. The Department offers workshop by  dedicated training facility.

  • Our department conducted one day workshop, in the title of “Workshop on 2D to 3D conversion and conceptual design” on 7/12/2016. This function was inaugurated by Mr.M.Muralikrishnan Design Engineer, CCMA Technologies Erode.
  • Another workshop on “Non Destructive Test” has been conducted by G.Senthil kumar, Blurray inspection services

STUDENT SKILL DEVELOPMENT

                     To increase the student skills in professionalism, teamwork, setting goals & objectives, time management, community knowledge, and personal exploration. Many seminar and activities have been conducted on regular basis which will motivate the students to achieve the goal in life. The following programs have been conducted.

  • Guest lecture on “INTERPERSONAL SKILLS DEVELOPMENT” presented by Mr.K.P.Rajendran, Manager, Pricol limited, Coimbatore on  15TH JULY 16.
  • Student workshop have been attended by 10 students in ranganathan polytechnic college at 23rd July 16

CAREER GUIDANCE PROGRAM

                                     Career guidance for students in the schools is an important program to guide the students in an appropriate direction. The Students in rural communities who progress to Higher Education are given suitable direction in choosing the best career options. It  exposure to the various universities and the courses offered in those universities and also the employment opportunities available after completing the particular courses.

  •  Mr.M.Eswara Moorthi, Dean/NEC made a career guidance program on 24th Jan 16.

PROJECTS

Our department had submitted 12 projects in I Club Project Exhibition and our student have won First Prize in it.

Our student Selvan.Goutham made a carbon filter which had won prize in project exbition at SSM Enginnering College

As per the DOTE regulation, students have to submit a project work in the final year. Six students form a group and each group is guided by an internal staff. The students are allowed to do the project work in companies also. They are allowed to approach for any sponsored project that has innovative ideas. The students are motivated and streamlined.

PAPER PRESENTATION DETAILS

                        Delivering accomplished presentations is a vital skill in anyone’s armory whether a student just starting out or the head of a large organizations. So student seminars have been arranged at regular intervals

  • Intra department paper presentation have been conducted by us and 11 papers have been presented on 19th July 16
  • 5 Students have been participated paper presentation in Ranganathan polytechnic Coimbatore.

 

SPORTS ACTIVITIES

                Sports play a pivotal role in the makeup of a young athlete, especially in the middle school to high school years where student athletes are much more mature and mentally developed

  • 4 Students have been participated in CO –CO SPORTS in R.G.P.C
  • 5 students have been participated in IPAA FOOTBALL conducted by Nandha institutions
  • 4 students have been participated in IPAA HANDBALL in K.S.R IT, Trichegode
  • 5 students had won runner in FOOTBALL DIVISIONAL MATCH1
  • 13 students have won prizes in ATHLETES at sports day conducted by NPC
  • 5 students have won runner in SHUTTLE at sports day conducted by NPC
  • 5 students have won winner in CAROM at sports day conducted by NPC
  • 2 students have won 2nd & 3rd prize in CHESS at sports day conducted by NPC1
  • 12 students have won winner in KHO-KHO at sports day conducted by NPC
  • 12 students have won winner in VOLLEYBALL at sports day conducted by NPc

CO-CIRCULAR ACTIVITIES

                        co-curricular  activities facilitate in the development of various domains of mind and personality such as intellectual development, emotional development, social development, moral development and aesthetic development. Creativity

  • Our student Selavan.Tamil Selvan had been participated in PSG tech alumni speech completion on 6th sep 16.
  • Two of our student participated in Makkal Sinthanai Peravai selection speech competition

 

PARENTS MEETING

                         When a parent comes in on a set date planned well in advance, it means both parents and lecturers get a chance to sit down for five to 10 minutes often more than enough to solidify their partnership. From there, we had a productive conversation about their student’s pros and cons in a professional manner. Our department have well planned and executed parents meeting properly at regular intervals for final years and pre- final years on 25th July 16 and 8th August 16
